Games Games Games! Here's what I've been playing.
Cuphead (Mondays)
Having now finished up Hollow Knight and Silksong, we need a new platformer! Cuphead was said to be a hard game that's also an action platformer, so we'll give it a shot! I have seen no gameplay at all, and have only very briefly heard some of its music, so we're going in blind!
Final Fantasy VII: Rebirth (Wednesdays)
I LOVE Cloud (but I call him Claud). I LOVE the FF7 universe. This game is a complete shift in the original story and a revamp of the visuals. It's addicting to explore and fight in, and I wish I could play it every day of the week.
Fallout 4 (Femme Fridays)
The Fallout franchise is one of my all-time favorites. I've played over 1000 hours of the other games, and I'm continuing the challenge to play every game through on stream. Karen's son was kidnapped and we have to find the manager of the wasteland to interrogate them. We're doing a chaotic melee weapon build and trying to make good choices with a bad attitude.
Monster Hunter Wilds (Chill by myself and with friends)
The latest game in the Monster Hunter series! It's graphically gorgeous, and the monsters are all pretty cool. We're on a quest to get every armor set in the game, and we're slowly learning how to use a bunch of the different weapons (there are a lot), and it's always a chill and productive time.
Marvel Rivals (Multiplayer fallback)
I attempted to get to grandmaster rank by myself a few months ago (and succeeded). I just play the game casually now when friends are around because I don't enjoy hero shooters (or most multiplayer-heavy games) by myself. When I have someone competent with me (like my friend Blaine), I love to play this game all night. Message me to squad up!
ARC Raiders (Multiplayer fallback)
Made by the same creators as The Finals, this game is similarly strange and interesting. It's a post-apocalyptic extraction shooter where you go to the surface to get stuff and then escape back to the underground. It's chaotic and stressful, but it can be fun with friends.
Megabonk (Chill by myself game)
This game is a roguelite set in a magical pixel dimension of meme lingo. I like to hop around (usually as the Fox or Knight) and just shoot lots of fireballs and swing swords passively at massive hoards of monsters that spawn. I haven't streamed this, but I play it off stream when I don't want to pay attention.
Dead By Daylight (Lack of recent interest)
This game is a mess. Between weird updates, bad balancing, unpredictable matchmaking, and more, it can be a toss-up of emotions. Even so, I play it if I'm bored and want to just be competitive in a non-shooter game.
Look Outside (On hold)
A scary survival RPG where you're trapped inside while something is happening outside. Don't look at it, or something horrible will happen to you. We're currently about halfway through our 15-day stint of staying indoors. Any trek into the hall is scary, but we're slowly figuring out what's causing the chaos. I'll keep playing when time permits.
Deltarune (Awaiting next game section)
An AMAZING sequel to Undertale (which we played on stream before). It has extremely memorable characters, settings, music, colors, and a hard-hitting story that makes you just want to die with longing and passion for the game world. Since only the first four out of seven chapters are out, we haven't fully completed it, but as far as it's released so far, we've done all there is to do and are waiting for more!
Oblivion Remastered (Other games took priority)
This game is a wonderful RPG about a fantasy zone with the gates of hell opening inside it. My character is a pink cat known for their stealth (huh?), way with words, and shot with a bow. We had to set this game down to focus on some other very involved RPG games, Clair Obscur and the Fallout franchise. I'm sure we'll have some streams of it now and then and we'll eventually complete it!
The finals (Lack of friend interest)
This game is fast-paced destructive chaos! It's super fun, but a bit demanding on your attention, gaming device, and controller/keyboard. Even though it's one of my favorite shooters of all time, I still don't really like to play by myself. Message me to squad up!
Minecraft (Other games took priority)
We have a survival multiplayer (SMP) server going in both versions of Minecraft (Java and Bedrock)! We have a few members of our streaming community around in the servers, and we pop in and out to manage things, build things, and hang out. Haven't had as many streams of it recently, but as we get some more free time, we'll have more.
Peak (Lack of friend interest)
A super silly game about climbing a mountain (with friends). I played a few times, and it was always really fun, but as school picked back up, many friends became busy or more interested in other things. Maybe we'll climb another mountain some day!
Splitgate 2 (Lack of friend interest)
A fun game that combines portals from the Portal games with the gun mechanics of Halo. Teleport around quickly to out-wit and out-aim the enemy team. It's very fun, but takes a bit of coordination, so it can be stressful to some friends. If you want to play, message me!
Stardew Valley (Abandoned)
We started a cute pixel farm, and we were just about to get some more people involved. Because they had some extra stuff going on, we couldn't get together enough to finish it up right now. We'll hopefully keep farming later!
Len's Island (Abandoned)
We started a cute voxel farm, too! Because friends had some extra stuff going on, we couldn't get together enough to keep making it right now, and it's a bit lonely. We'll hopefully keep exploring Len's Island later!
Battlefield 6 (Abandoned unless friends ask)
The newest game in the Battlefield franchise has released, and it's much closer to what the main user base is looking for. Since it's mostly multiplayer, I don't really have the best time unless friends ask to play. Ask me if you want!
Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 (Completed)
Our blind playthrough of this beautiful game's story was completed on stream! We have all but one achievement, which must be gotten during a repeat playthrough. That would take a bit too long for stream with the current schedule, so when I end up getting more free time, we may do a New Game+ playthrough. Not anytime soon, though!
Doom: The Dark Ages (100% Completed)
The latest entry in the Doom franchise. I've loved all the modern ones, and will have to get into the classics as well. The newest entry is just as fast, but more in a lateral way than a vertical way compared to Doom: Eternal. I prefer Eternal, but Dark Ages was great fun to explore and fight through. I loved cranking the difficulty up and increasing the game speed as well.
Undertale (All Routes Complete)
We've played the HECK outta Undertale. We started with a neutral run, then a good boy run, then an evil boy run. Everyone is dead and I'm not happy. Except Sans. I'm happy that I beat Sans :)
Bloody Hell (100% Completed)
A game about a chicken taking care of business. I kicked the ass of both Satan and God, and did it on a Sunday. Now I am the chicken god. Blessed.
Final Fantasy VII Original (Story + Hidden Bosses Complete)
Absolutely bonkers. This game has way more depth than you'd think possible. The music, story, characters, combat, and secrets all kept me hooked for tons of time. I need to do another playthrough eventually because there's a lot to explore, but I'm gonna do the glow-up version first.
Final Fantasy VII: Crisis Core REUNION (100% Completed)
The first of the FF7 lore games that's also a glow-up. We get backstory and a remade PSP game at the same time! Sexy Zach and some unique plot I didn't expect made this game a surprise banger. Very memorable characters who I'm glad are brought back during future games in some ways (no spoilers here, I swear).
Final Fantasy VII: Remake Intergrade (100% Completed)
THIS IS WHAT I'VE ALWAYS WANTED! How can a game be this good? The combat is smooth, the visuals are great, the depth of the universe, the character development, and everything else is awesome. What a way to reimagine the original version of Final Fantasy VII. The Yuffie DLC gives additional context into Yuffie who was previously really enigmatic, and she's much more human and fun in the DLC. Chef's kiss.
Fallout 3 (All Quests + DLC Completed)
The Fallout franchise is one of my all-time favorites. I've played over 1000 hours of the other games, and I was recently challenged to play every game through on stream. The viewers voted to start with Fallout 3, which is set in Washington DC ~200 years after the bombs dropped. It was bland visually and showed its age, but our playthrough was fun and chaotic, and I loved the DLC (besides Point Lookout).
Hollow Knight (112% Completed)
The start to my combat platforming adventure and the tutorial for Silksong. We went for the 112% completion run (base game + DLC), and completed everything besides a gauntlet of every single boss in the game back to back. It's been a struggle. Hopefully we'll finish it some day!
Hollow Knight: Silksong (100% Game Completion)
After getting 112% of the original Hollow Knight complete, we finished a second adventure through a beautiful place. Extremely satisfying and difficult combat and exploration kept the game exciting to me despite some issues with the shard and crest mechanic. I like it a little less than the first game, but the visuals and story are much more vibrant and compelling.
